Our Community

MJ Events Support Ltd are proud to be integrated into our local communities.

MJ Events Support:

• Provide employment for many people in the areas local to the sites and events we support.
• Regular weekly work as well as casual event work, so lots of people can get involved in whatever capacity suits them.
• Put £5.5 million back into the local economy over the last 3 years.
• Sponsor a local under 10's football team to provide their match day kits.
• Sponsor a player in the Cardiff University Rugby Team to purchase professional kit.
• Supporting the local Women's walking club with clothing, food, administration and event support who raise funds for local charities with their challenges. This year they have just completed a 50k walk and raised over £10,000 for Monmouthshire Farmers Mental Health Support group and Herefordshire Mind.
• Participate in Abergavenny Festival of Cycling Sportive races raising money for local charities.
• Funding event days for foster children in Newport Social Services.
• Sponsorship of Wales National Armed Forces Day 2023 being hosted by Newport City Council.
• Sponsored MJ Events Support HR Manager to complete a tandem skydive for two charities, Sands and Aching Arms who support families across the UK who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

Our Environment

MJ Events are dedicated to operating at all times showing due regard to global and local environmental considerations and issues:

• Keeping carbon emissions low by using public transport where possible, enabling staff members to car share, promoting the Cycle to Work Scheme and providing group transport to events.
• Using local suppliers for equipment and resources.
• Promote environmental awareness and general encouragement for staff to raise issues of concern and make recommendations.
• Reuse and recycle equipment, uniforms and all waste where possible.
